Why does the C23 camera show some pictures with a .LRS file extension when viewing with windows 10?

Are these from the SD card in the camera? What are the mode settings for the camera?
The LRS files are normally shown when you use a Lexar SD card.

Yes, taken from sd card from the C23.
Camera mode set for JPG.
Some files were JPG and some were LRS.
I could change the file extension to JPG using windows 10 to open and view the pictures but was wondering why this had occurrd and if anyone else had seen this.
This was the first time I had seen this happen.

LRF Files - Why?

lrs and lrf are Sony format files for some ebooks.
There are 3 files written to the sd card for every video. The LRS file is a miniature video. The MP4 is the full resolution video. The THM is a thumbnail jpg for displaying one frame from the video used to identify the video when viewing the files on your computer.
That explains it. This was the 1st time I uploaded directly from the camera chip to the computer.
For the past year, I have been uploading to my smart phone then move the pictures to the computer via jump drive.
