camera won't record video or take stills

The camera on my typhoon h plus will not record video or nor will it take photos. camera is broadcasting just not recording video or taking stills. Any help here would be great. Suggestions? Oh and I have checked all the updates so everything seems on the up-and-up. However I have a steady red dot on the display of the st16. When I try to start recording either by touch screen or the manual button I get nothing.

Is the LED on front of the camera flashing green or is it flashing orange?

Do any messages appear on screen when you try the button?

It may also help to post a screenshot of the ST16S main screen.

For myself, I re-check the obvious - is the micro sd in the camera and formatted correctly? I've forgotten mine before, so....it's usually the simplest things that get me.

There is just one easy thing you could try. Clean the camera contacts and the ones on the H itself. These contacts can get quite dirty and cause all sort of problems .
