Good morning from Italy. I have a H520 copter and I have the occasion to buy a Thermal camera to use for my job. I tried this camera on my H520 but the only thing I can see on my st16 is the video but no thermal picture and thermal settings and the gimbal is not moving. The camera is not connected. Somebody told me that the camera is for Typhoon H 480 and cannot be used on the H520 because the mother board inside the camera are different.
as far as you know Is this true? I was convinced that was only a firmware problem. Someone can tell me if is only a firmware problem and if is possible to use this camera on the H520?
And in case what to do? I can flash the firmware (but where i find it?} by myself?
Thank you for help.

These cameras are different. Don't try to update with 520 firmware, you will kill the camera! Try to search the forum. There are a few topics about that, one of them is very soon.

The best solution for you is to sell the camera and buy a proper one for your platform.

More than that, the gimbal will not move in any case. The communication protocol is different.

I think that's not right. The cgoet is for the H520. Do an update via the update pilot in the st16s menu. The user manual can help you with this. Or this Video

I've already sent back the camera. I check for update every time. Before to send the camera back I tried all the update possible (but the drone was already updated) and also see attached the official reply from Yuneec UK. Also I was not convinced about the thermal sensor quality. Maybe is too small and poor. Now I'm lookin a refurbished thermal camera for H520 (no E) like the one that has Yuneec Europe but is for the H520E.

In any case, the thermal sensor is miserable Lepton with a small resolution and 9 Hz refresh rate. I'm talking about CGO ET.

You should look for a E10T or something like that. Read the forum. Open your topic and explain your expectations and needs. Probably no one camera on the market will satisfy you.

Yes on my tarot 650 quad selfmade drone (that I normally use for buildings inspections) I have a A35 Flir Radiometric 320x256 and is perfect for my needs. As I have a H520 (with camera E90 for photogrammetry) I'd like to have a second drone with thermal camera and this is why I was thinking at CGOet. But now is better to look for a E10T used refurbished but the costs are still very high.

They're expensive for no reason. If you have some programming skills, you can take a look at my project about CGO-ET replacement. For now, I stopped it due to zero interest in the rest forum guys but if someone wants to go further in some of the possible ways I can help him/her.

I've seen but I don't understand.... I see the gimbal but where is the thermal camera or the thermal sensor? this is my other drone with Flir A35 radiometric and what I do for the detachment of plaster and tiles on buildings... all selfmade:):););)

It is radiometric. RGB is useless in this case.

It is necessary to prepare software, hardware, and so on. Due to missing enthusiasm in the people, I'll go further only when I need to use this stuff, and with coverage only for my needs.

The possibilities are unlimited. The platform is based on open-source things.16493287128632116774054000342125.jpg
