Problem with the controller for the H520 drone

I understand, but can't you still see what happens if you physically delete (clean) everything and then reinstall all the required (core) files to then update everything from scratch? What does ‘return to factory settings’ mean?
After this operation, I restored the files from the app given in the link above. Are these steps correct or should I just restore all files from the normal data pilot app?

"can't you still see what happens if you physically delete (clean) everything and then reinstall all the required (core) files to then update everything from scratch?"
I know of no home method to physically clean and restore beyond the factory reset you performed prior to the last update. That is not an actual reset. It is simply a clean-out of all user installed settings and apps. The only method I know of to physically clean and restore is the boot load process to install a new image. The boot load process requires an image we do not have, but some repair shops may. It also requires the proper software, the knowledge to set up and use it, and possibly a computer that is compatible with it.

"What does ‘return to factory settings’ mean?"
I can't see that exact phrase in the thread. Although it could refer to a Boot load, it most often is used to refer to the factory reset of the controller, which I think you performed prior to the last update effort. Did you run through this sequence prior to doing the update?
