Dates on Telemetry Logs

I purchased my Typhoon H and it arrived to where my first flight was on 7/24/17.
I've had a couple of crashes, where the craft just took off sideways on a mission to hit a tree.
I am looking into my telemetry logs, and I find that I didn't create the first 22 Telemetry Logs.
Those 22 logs total, actually date back to January, February, and March of this year.
Is there a logical explanation for this?

The most logical explanation is the ST16 was refurbished and had been used previously with another H. Some of those would be test flights made in China as a final QC test before being packed up. Some dealers also do test flights prior to shipping to the customer.
I guess I would not be too concerned about those logs. I would be much more concerned about the crashes and what caused them. Do you know why the H went sideways?

Hi Steve.. No; I don't know. First time it was on takeoff.. The craft was maybe 30 feet in the air and took off jamming sideways.. Fortunately a large tree stopped it..
This second one, I was just taking off, and it went zipping away, with the craft's body at a pretty good forward tilt.. Happened very fast also.. Did a little tree trimming and skidded across the sidewalk.
I'm losing a bit of faith in this, because as durable as it may seem, it's sustaining damage from all these shenanigans..

The reason for this with a new H is generally because the GPS hasn't completed updating. On a first flight it need to sit, after boot up, for 13 minutes with the motors off.
You really need to identify the cause before you fly it any more. It is dangerous to fly any bird this size that is acting strangely. We can help you with this if you want to upload the telemetry files from those two flights. Just add a .txt to the end of the file name and they will upload here.

Ok; so we're on the same page, Steve, the incident this evening was the first flight of the day, but nowhere near the first flight. I try to run two batteries through it each day, to increase my flight time.

I can' get files to upload properly; Renamed with .txt on the end, and the site gives me an error message about that extension.

Will Dropbox link work? Dropbox - Typhoon H Telemetry Files

Got em. I'll take a look. Not sure why they wouldn't upload.

Okay, you should be good with the GPS if you have multiple flights. However, on the first flight I looked at, 050, you took off a bit too soon. There were only 12 sats showing at that point.

Can you turn on the ST16 and open Hardware Monitor? Very carefully check the sticks for proper operation. Move them slowly and see if the graph is smooth and goes full scale. Does the graph return to zero each time the sticks are centered? Do it several times.

So it it possible then to have the "Ready" notification, but not have enough satellites to fly properly?

Turned on ST16 to Hardware Monitor. Sticks operate smoothly, and returned to zero positions when released.

I'm seeing compass errors on both flights about the same time as the H took off. It's possible this bird has a bad compass. I think you should call Yuneec and then submit the logs. They will ask for them.

Thank you for the advice, Steve. I truly appreciate you taking the time to have a look at these. I will contact them, and see what they would say. I can say that it is causing me to lose a little faith in the setup. Is there a preferred Customer Service number here in the US, or one that I just Google up?
