If you went straight up you are likely to loose the video feed. If you were several hundred feet away at 270' then you should not loose the video feed. In fact, as you fly farther fly away from the ST16 you will need more height to maintain the feed.

Hello everyone,
I have a typhoon h and when I push him forward he walks to the right side without ordering him to walk to that side. Another question I have is that when I lift the landing feet the camera disconnects can they help me?

Are you sure you are pushing straight up as if you push up and slight right it would do that and have you read the instructions and done the full calibration aswell

yes, I did all the right calibrations, I already sent yunnec once and they said they just reinstalled the firmware and it was right but now it's the same. Whenever I push forward and do not line forward, it starts to go more towards the forward and then when I stop pushing, even without wind it starts to walk to the right side alone

@JoelPinto

Regarding the camera disconnect when raising the landing gear. I presume you are in Europe and so using the EU firmware.
It is a well known issue when using the EU firmware to get camera disconnects when raising the gear although I hasten to say that not every person using the EU firmware has this problem. If you are having this problem and using the EU firmware there is nothing you can do about it other than consider installing the standard firmware...but beware, if you do you will be breaking the law. Further, using the EU firmware gives certain (technical) advantages over the standard firmware that won't be obviously apparent to the user...but they are there.

This issue has been discussed extensively in this forum and the best of us looking at the problem have failed to reach a solution, however, some users have reported a decrease of occurrences if you rebind the camera after it's initial connection but before taking off.

good afternoon,
Thank you in advance for your response. the next time I use the drone I will test if it results rebind the camera after initial connection. Regarding the drone walking to the direct side when I give you order to also walk to the right when I give you order to move or even when stopped, can you help me?

hi
I'm new on this forum and i've read with much interest this post because i have same problem with video signal.
It's clear that is a problem of EU firmware (bug), but why yuneec don't fix it? I buyed the typoon H just a month ago and I have the latest firmware.
Now we are in the 2018 and I have read about this problem post from 2015.
Sorry but I don't understandig

It's not really a bug. I relates to the regulations in the countries that require the EU and UK firmware. Installing that version cuts the video power in half.

If you are in Smart mode the Typhoon will move in the same direction you walk.
I never tried to do this: yesterday after performing the calibrations, take off the drone and for some time he made the correct move, whenever he made it go he went in a straight line. After a 5/10 min flight he started to move to the right side, always make the straight line.

It is suggested that the first camera connect is sometimes a weak one and the act of raising the landing gear pushes the signal over the edge, so to speak. The second connection would appear to be stronger so, in theory, making the connection less likely to drop.

I have noticed, though, in recent weeks while we have been having temperatures well above average for this time in the U.K. I have not been having issues with dropping the connection when raising the gear even with the first connection. Someone with far better technical knowledge of such things than I could possibly put forward an explanation of what is going on...it's just something that I've noticed.

Test the sticks on the controller in Hardware Monitor.

I had also contacted yuneec germany and this was their answer

Dear Mr.Loris,

thank you for your email.

This will happen if the landing gear is lift off to early from the start,
the wifi will change into wifi hopping so it have to find another channel to
get connected to the wifi. We would recommend to let the landing gear down
until you reach your point of destiny.

Correct, if you lose the wifi the record gets cut and will be not completed.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Best Regards
