Not certain how many guys have seen the AMA’s recent press release concerning the new FAA’s “Off The Cuff” rules and regulations regarding the recreational use of drones in the US. While we are all aware there are problems with regard to their use and safety - registering drones with an agency that is already lost with regard to commercial application, tells us up front they are not capable or have the manpower to control the number of drones being sold each day. A task such as this one can only be governed and policed by the modelers themselves with the AMA at the helm.
A responsibility of this magnitude can only be successful to a non-government organization such the AMA who has been at the forefront of model safety since their inception. I highly suggest that you consider the AMA’s request concerning this matter.
