My q500 keeps saying failed to take snapshot,Today is the first day my q500 has done this can someone help me please

You cannot take photos when:
- no SD card is in the camera
- wrong formatted SD card is in the camera
- video recording is running.
Did you switched to Photo before? Snapshots in video mode are poor.
