depends on your term 'take down'. without any danger to people on the ground.Florida is trying to pass a bill to allow homeowners to "take down" drones that could be spying.

Yeah, the bill doesn't clarify this.depends on your term 'take down'. without any danger to people on the ground.
Did the person/officer cite the state law that forbids that? I have heard of not being able to launch/land/operate from within some state’s park system, but launching outside of that seems overbearing. It seems the rules and regulations for UAVs are getting a bit much. I was doing some video work by our state park, and was told I couldn't fly within 100 meters of any state park in NC. Even with a FAA license, I can't fly around state parks. I live in NC in the Blue ridge Mountains and there are a LOT of state parks here. You would think, they would add these to the no-fly zones, that most of us bypass. (lol)
I Read last week that NC was one of the worst. Most State Parks are forbidden to fly in but as things progressed the FAA has informed states the FAA owns all airspace above ground level. You can fly into most of these areas if launched out side the park. I have also read some states are still trying to enforce their laws, so I guess if it's worth fighting for you can take them to court but for me it's not worth it. For those that will stand their ground it helps every one stay in their lane. The FAA doesn't take kindly to states trying to step on their toes.
