Flying during COVID-19 Stay-At-Home orders

To be fair the pubs are trying to diversify, the locals/pubs here are selling take away food and drinks, as well as essential food items, eggs, bread meat etc, but this might be different in more urban areas, in the countryside we've lost a lot of essential services.

The virus is dangerous, mass unemployment is dangerous and so is a tyrannical authoritarian gov't. Covid 19 deaths worldwide 47K, Seasonal flue 122K, Malaria 247K, Suicide 270K, Vehicle accidents 340K, Alcohol 380K, Cancer 2M, Hunger 3M and baby sacrifices 11M.

Stay inside and never go out and we'll save millions if you call that living. We've been forced to swallow gov't authoritarian socialism under the guise of a virus that doesn't even match the seasonal flu.

All the deaths are tragedies. How about the gov't informing us of the impact of this "virus" that is now the result of experimenting on horseshoe bats and it getting into the wet markets of China 900 kilometers away from the lab?

Everyone here is intelligent enough to practice safe distancing and if we don't and we willfully or negligently kill another human than we suffer the consequences.

What makes this any different than the seasonal flue, car accidents, abortion etcetera. We either act responsibly or we suffer the results. The gov't including the FAA are not time comps or the "Minority Report". Writing more rules to stop stupid people from going on spring break isn't going to stop stupid and reckless people.

There are vaccines available for flu which vulnerable people can have, to help prevent premature death, this one doesn't yet, people on certain medication are at risk too, they wouldn't normally die now but are, and also seemingly healthy people are dying with no underlying health conditions here anyway, I have no choice but to isolate with my wife who is compromised with immune suppressants, a price worth paying.

I understand everyone's concern but that's where the issue lies. We know our own issues. I can't get vaccinations but I don't impose my health issues on everyone else. I'm not saying you are either but we need to think as individuals with respect for others. It is the Natural/God law or the golden rule on steroids.

We're being told that we're not bright enough to take heed. Having the gov't be time cops and using this to supercede our rights is more dangerous than any of the tragedies combined.

I transport geriatrics to and from nursing homes for my small business. I'm essential to the medical industry but I have no one to transport. The gov't via the hospitals has asked me to transport COVID + patients. I'm 60 years old. Why in the **** would I put myself in a tin can and drive down the road with a virus floating around all over my minivan?

This would mean that I would be spreading the virus to me, my family and everyone that I transport from here forward. If it's so contagious why would the gov't ask me to spread it in this manner? Are they going to put us in hazard suits and hose us down for every transport. This is simply a planned takeover of our country and an absolute desecration of everything I hold dear. Nothing trumps my rights or yours. If I go out and willfully or negligently expose another human being than I've violated the natural law and the constitution. Accidents happen but typically they are not willful or negligent.

So before I get booted again I have a question for all. I agree with all of the posts on this thread. Be responsible and thoughtful. Work to not spread any virus, cold or other contagious disease. How is what I'm saying about stopping the gov't from desecrating the rights of us Americans in opposition of what you guys are saying?

Without the proper PPE and products to sanitize the vehicle, if I were in your position I would tell them to go straight to the lake of fire and brimstone too. Your situation brings the point home, but this is not just going on here in the USA. This lack of equipment to protect the healthcare workers and their families and protect the people contracting this disease is happening all over the world and completely overwhelming the system.

I can tell you that in The Villages, where I am marooned for now, they tried keeping some places open for takeout service. The donut shop in one of the town squares was open for takeout, but all sit down areas were closed off. So the idiots would get their donuts and coffee, go to the closed restaurant next door and congregate at the tables that were left outside in groups of 15 to 20 just like nothing had changed. This caused the restaurant to have to sanitize the tables and chairs and haul them inside. The donut shop was also closed until there were no more places to congregate.

My point is yes there are a lot of sheep/turkeys in the American populace so sometimes the government has to become overreaching due to the idiots. If they affected only themselves, I would say go with survival of the fittest, but in this case it affects many besides themselves.

I understand the idiots plight but the gov't only seizes this opportunity to lock all of us in. I'm here from the gov't and I'm here to help has never rang true and it isn't true on this plandemonic either. We the people are stuck with the idiots in the public and the elite supreme idiots that were elected. Idiots don't change no matter how many rules are decreed. We the people including the 1st responders will suffer because of this plandemonic tragedy and because of the idiots in society and in the gov't.

"You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink it"..... same can be said about us humans. We can tell you about the virus and even give you a mask, but again I can not make you wear it. I have love for every person on this earth (well except for murderers and child molesters) But like it says in the beginning of this post, I cant make you follow the recommended rules, so in the end they get what they ask for. this is not the Gov- asking you to self report your crimes, they are asking you to help yourself and any sick or elderly you may know.
when I see these people out and about at the beaches and other congregational places it saddens me that they care so less about their family than they do about having fun. And that's just sad.

We the people are supposed to be the gov't. We are not anymore. My comments aren't about masks, swimmers, beaches, viruses or any other excuse the gov't uses to control us. It's about the gov't using tragedies to control us. You've not mentioned anything about rights, the constitution and natural law.

Everyone is pointing out the stupid people doing stupid things and then using that to justify the gov't locking everyone up and violating our rights for those stupid people doing stupid things.

I've been washing my hands, wearing hospital gloves, avoiding touching my face, wiping my stretcher down with bleach and alcohol for 7 years. In those 7 years I've had the seasonal flue once, 1 cold and 1 sinus infection. I'm transporting patients with Cdiff, mrsa etcetera and I've been practicing these policies on my own.

I'm tired of people blaming people like me for standing up for my rights. This isn't the gov't looking out for us. It's the gov't looking out for its own interests. If it was looking out for us then it would have started these social distancing, hand cleaning etcetera practices years ago to stop the seasonal flu from killing 100 times more people every year.

Nothing wrong with standing up for our rights... But at the expense of an elderly person or even worse our own family, or even us dying, I think this is acceptable and seems a little selfish not to do so. This is not about any one person, The human nature law of self preservation overrides any man made law and the Constitution... No disrespect intended thoneter

Just a general warning aimed at no particular person. More of a precautionary statement as this whole situation is very emotional.

We need a place to say what is on our mind, but not get in any personal tit for tat arguments. So far this thread has done so much better than on other forums. I want to keep it that way.

We all have our opinions on this whole mess. It’s a no-win situation and it sux.

On the one hand you have what we’re doing, and the cost is the economy and massive loss of businesses, extreme unemployment....a situation not seen since The Great Depression....and this could exceed even that with temporary loss of freedoms as well.

On the other hand, doing nothing might soften the blow economically, but at the cost of 10’s, maybe 100’s of thousands of lives and a burden on our health care system and an unfair impact to the front line fighters.

So, how do you choose? This is where opinions diverge. Even leaders have said the cure can’t be worse than the cause. Financial bailouts only go so far because that’s taxpayer money and if there’s nobody paying taxes, well, the biggest problem with Socialism is that eventually, you run out of other people’s money.

I'm of the opinion that there is no choice: Always choose life. At least with life, you have a chance to rebuild. Yes, it’s tough. Yes it hurts. Yes, many will lose everything. But at least, they’ll be alive to start over.

Dead is Dead. No starting over. No trying again. That’s it.

So, yeah, it sux. Either way.

I appreciate your response. It's well thought out. Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness is so American. I think at times it takes lives to maintain liberty. Liberty is being shredded by our government at the cost of liberty and life. All are tragic. The pursuit of happiness is also being shredded. We can't live in bubble wrap in our homes if we cant leave because we could accidentally wound or kill someone.

We shouldn't be living in fear and the media and government are cashing in on that!

I am as anti governmental growth as anyone but we are in a fluid situation that I would say is very much like being onboard a navel vessel, at sea, in battle. We've just been hit at the water line with an undermined device (could be torpedo, mine, anti-ship missile etc), we've got fires popping up everywhere and the engine room reports they're loosing power. First officer reports many wounded and the bridge says some navigational equipment is out.

Okay so you're the Captain, do you stop and put out the fires while staying in the area and try to seal off the flooded areas? Or do you use all available power to steam out of the area, speeding up the flooding and fanning the flames of the fires? Calling battles stations or stand down? The clock is ticking, what do you do captain?

The fact is, there is no correct path out this disaster from the perspective of our captain. When this started, information was coming in at a very high rate and the unknowns vs risk equations were mounting rapidly and action was taken.

In the end I believe it will be shown to have been the correct action, the ultimate responsibility of the captain is to his crew first, then to his ship, for without those, there is nothing. While I know there are those in government who are actively trying to implement socialism into our society and DO use events like this to do just that; this does not change the duties of the leader.

Hey Ty Pilot
Typically most navel ships don't have a news media on board doing everything in their power to undermine the actions of that captain. Those ships don't have half of the crew on the captain's side and the other half on mutiny. There are many issues going on. Viruses, deep political divide, NWO's, globalism, etcetera. Some of the gov't is giving us good info and some are using their clout to misinform us. We've given up our freedoms for 0.0003 percent deaths in the US.

I know that all of us here are on the same team (USA) but many are deceived into believing the gov't has our best interests at heart. They don't or they wouldn't be playing politics at this point in time and they would be unified on this front against the so called pandemic. They can't put down their political aspirations for 1 day let alone the 3 months that this is going to take. What will we do as a nation when round 2 comes this fall?

Gee, all I really wanted to do was discuss the idea of flying our drones during this troubled time. Some of the things I read here have brought tears to my eyes; the passion, the anger, the self-less care taken by some and flagrant disregard taken by others, the willingness to do as we are told and the fear of rights given up. It wouldn't be so bad except that it's coming at us at an alarming rate and overwhelming the systems. I'm glad to hear what each and every one of you have to say.

Yes Thoneter, I know all of this and I am as frustrated as anyone about it, I want the swamp drained, disinfected and closed permanently too. But my point is; this pandemic did happen and while I agree its not going to be much more or any (for that matter), more deadly than a typical cold and flu season, getting through it sooner and with far less deaths than the mutineers and media would have us believe - will be a good thing, it will further expose those who wish to profit from making Americans miserable for their own exploits.

Round 2? I'm glad you
