If I go the max range out, land, then take off again won't that extend the max geo fence range? Because it doesn't go by controller location but rather takeoff location

I’m “guessing” no. The GPS is initialized at power on. This would set the location. Another test might be to power up in one location and walk 100 yards with the Breeze, then take off from a different spot. Even so, an RTH would take you back to the power on location. But a guess.

Extending the range might cause issues with control. I’d proceed carefully.

GPS location is set at takeoff. You can do exactly what you mentioned in the first post.
