Gimbal TILT!

The two seconds it takes to take the camera off why would you not do this?

Well lets see, one could drop it, break a connection, break a rail putting it back on, many things, I don't know as i said I may give it a go, but I need to do more research first.

Pay attention to what your dong and you will not drop it, break a connection, break a rail putting it back on :)

Yeah keep telling yourself that :) maybe in a perfect world, with a perfect gimbal mount, of which we have neither! Besides, what if a Giant Big Foot comes over and kicks me, Ill drop it for sure! Just like Cam said its delicate by nature i do not want to be messing with it :) But feel free to follow your heart , just don't complain when it falls of in mid flight because one of the rails got stressed..

I got a new one with new camera.. came in the box with CGO3 replacement. It's easy to pop the tang back up but it's something I now double check all the time. It's getting stuck in the recess of the mount so it's a bit of design flaw. Loosening it up and reseating on the TH frame helps. The whole camera mount is pretty weak. It'd be great is someone made and after market aluminum TH mount and camera suspension top so I don't have to worry about those flimsy plastic rails (which yuneec CC crushed when they did my original repair and led to the month of warranty ****) that are so critical to the camera. Maybe someone can 3D print something more solid? I get holding the weight down but obviously intellasense upgrade is more weight so what's a few grams in metal for a solid camera mount? I'd pay for that piece of mind gladly!

See I think that's really bad for the motors and the control board as it wants to correct constantly. They should be insisting that you remove the camera for compass calibration to prevent motor damage to the gimbal. I know this from experience with the Faiyu Tech mini gimbals I use with my Chroma and GoPro. They can loose their control ability for proper alignment and never point level or straight. i thought about wiring in a switch to the ground wire on the gimbal shoe as I manual camera on off feature for compass calibration expediency. I may still look at that as a mod once I'm out of warranty and on my own for repairs,

I think I have decide to try your way -- The more I sits an thinks the more I thinks about sitting , no wait  Anyway as few times as we do compass calibrations , your way takes ALL the stress off the motors -- Thanks for the great idea!

So, I took the H out today to a different location with thoughts that I would have gimbal tilting problems...
It was actually quite windy so I was absolutely expecting the tilt. I was surprised by the gimbal behaviour.... absolutely
perfect. I even tried flying full forward rabbit mode while yawing and I could not get it to tilt. I tied full 90 degree up and down several times and all perfect.
No calibrations since last flights.

I am wondering if the problem could be location based. I know that sounds silly but for every flight I did
outside my house in the past 2 weeks (roughly 6-7) I had gimbal tilt in every flight. I go to a local park today and have zero issues...

thoughts?

Check the mount the H itself and make sure all six connectors are up and have tension could have been moving it to the park seated it better, ya, to be honest, LOL It could be so many things -- We dont even have a basic troubleshooting guide from Yuneec that is close to current - I see I mentioned some of this earlier, well check it again LOL

It sounds like a start up initialization issue.... which means it's possibly hardware related or firmware related. I can't see how location could effect it.

Pipes in the ground will alter compass readings. Parks cn have lots of hidden underground metal.

Here's yesterdays flight with flawless gimbal
