Hi I have just received a new H520 today and am looking into a more efficient battery charging and management system.

I would like to be able to monitor the voltage of batteries and also simultaneously charge multiple batteries. I have seen that Yuneec do a A10 multi charger for the typhoon H - are these compatible? Do I need to modify the leads that come with this?

Also I have noted that the stock charger gets very warm during charging both flight battery and plugged to the st16s. I have unplugged the controller and have opted to use a IPad charger with the android lead instead - but it doesn’t seem to have taken any charge in past 2 hours! Still at 18%

What charging setups are most of you using? As the stock charger doesn’t seem like it is happy charging both at once.

Sorry if all of this has been previously covered - had a quick search but nothing came up.

Hi, you would need to make a homemade cable as per the sticky post at the top of this page, the A10 does not come with H520 charging cables, they are different to the H and there are no H520 battery charging leads available as yet, but they are supposed to be coming. I recently bought one of these for charging the ST16 battery, you can then charge it at 5A li-ion 1s setting in a far shorter time with a standard charger. copter.eu - The YUNEEC Experts

Any decent lipo charger that has a Li-Ion setting, I have many here from years of lipo charging for cars/helis/quad racing. The imax X120 or X150 touchscreen would probably be the ones I go to most for charging the St16 battery, but you can spend anything for £30 to £500+ on a charger, depends what your budget is. Hobbyking often have something half decent for not too much money.

now they are releasing charging adapter for the st16s. oh well I did a modification to the st16s battery and made it a passive adapter out of it to use the h480 st16 controller battery.
