I've worked on the chairlift many times, but I refuse to go up the scaffold. My heart just wouldn't take the anxiety so I'm with you on that.

This one of the last hydraulically driven chairlifts in operation anywhere. An 25hp ac motor drives a hydraulic pump which feeds a hydraulic motor. The control panel is old school relay and switches. It's slow but very reliable and continues to pass the stringent load and safety inspections.
