But the RealSense module will not prevent most crashes. It is only more useful than the built in sonar Obstacle Avoidance in two instances which are Indoor Positioning mode and Follow Me mode (while biking or skateboarding and such).

Quite honestly if you can describe what happened with your crash, upload your telemetry, and upload pictures of the damage you can be back in the air faster and cheaper than trying to send it out for repair.

That won't work on an H480. There are two versions of the RS and they are not interchangeable..
