I think we are at the point where parts are getting difficult to obtain, well it’s been an issue for a while now. Could we add a parts finder subcategory like general discussions ect, classified section is not really a parts request , parts finder is not for items a member is actually selling, it’s a non profit method to help members acquire parts with others members help. My thinking is if someone adds a post on a parts finder subcategory then other members can let them know where it’s located. Also another taught is why don’t we have a software download section, I know the software is available elsewhere but for how long and where better to get it that directly here on the form , the only place for yuneec support is here and what fantastic support it is 😁

As for the software/firmware downloads that is something the owner of the forum has not allowed on any of the DronePilots family of forums.

For Yuneec owners we have YuneecSkins and we have that backed up and actually updated on OneDrive. That is accessed via the Table of Contents in the first post in the Way to Fix Drones Project thread here: Way To Fix Drones project

As far as a Parts Requested sub forum that is something to petition @clackey for. I can see where it makes sense in YuneecPilots. Responses to those requests would have to be taken with a heavy dose of caution unless posted by members that have been around for quite awhile and actively engage with the community.

The software could be troublesome especially if someone were to share authorised yuneec only repair guides or manuals as technically they belong to the company. I can see why now it’s not something that’s added here directly on the form.
The parts finder I’m thinking would not necessarily be for one member to request a part and another member to say they could fulfil it, it would be more like when someone is looking for something they can’t locate other members could say I’ve seen this part available here , on eBay ect. It’s one thing looking at a circuit board or something else you know needs replaced but when u don’t know the name of the part or its part number it makes it all that more difficult to locate online if that makes sense.
Another plus to someone sharing information on parts locations is , they are not financially gaining anything, this way they are helping just for the sake of helping other members

I am in serious need of X style connectors (520E/600 series), as well as the gimbal assemblies if anyone can point me in the right direction,
I was able to get the 30 pin coax cables, as well as the female end (drone side) connector board, but the gimbal assemblies are hard to find.

If anyone has a gimbal, you could use something like polyscan to create a 3d-printable STL file, any obscure parts I have been scanning in using LiDAR on an iphone 16

This part?. Nice talking to u earlier. Hopefully we have located all the parts u needed. This is why I’m suggesting parts finder.
That x connector u have for the h600 is interesting , u should add a picture and see has anyone come access it and where, its one thing to describe it but another to see it.
Another bit of information to share with the group regarding the x connector, this is not a yuneec only part, their specific dimensions might be yuneec only but the connectors are available directly from the original manufacturer. I’ll add a bit of information about them, they are a well known Japanese company called HRS,Hirose Electric Co., Ltd. they sell many different connectors so u could choose what u want and have them create it for you, I don’t think it would be as simple as asking them to give u the exact item they provide for yuneec if it has any patents but if u give them all the dimensions it could essentially be reverse engineered. Plus it’s original manufacturer quality.
If one of the x connector boards are damaged then u could also buy the connector if ur confident with micro soldering, it will likely be the only option when parts run out.
I’ll add a close up picture of the connector including its brand name and hopefully I can get a link to HRS website

Apparently there also in America and Europe. Here is the US link Electrical and Electronic Connectors - HIROSE Americas

Haven only gotten back after a long absence I was shocked to learn that Yuneec have folded or moved on and left us hanging? Reading these posts about fellow members with relatively new drones like the H250E which I have now and the 500/ 600. I cannot believe that Yuneec hasn't at least provided some sort of spare parts shop even if it was only online? When I returned to flying the last thing I taught wa getting anything other thar an Yuneec drone. No DJI or the like, I rely line my H-Plus and now my H520E. If I was in a position that I could write or rewrite software I would live to help you fellow members out. I wouldn't worry whether Yuneec wa happy with me or not,I feel that I would just be providing a service that Yuneec should have.
Sorry for the rant but I am pissed now.
Cheers for now. Mike Irish
