More problems with my Typhoon H.
Problems related to :
- taking pictures
- taking videos.

I can, sometimes take a photo, never more, and no videos (by choosing of course the mode or camera or photo)
And this without SD card inserted in the camera.

State of play, perhaps an expert will understand my difficulties:
- in the menu "System Setting "s the selected camera is CG03P_820C70
- on the camera I read CG0+

- In the "About Controller" menu
- the paragraph ST 16 is filled in (system Version, transmitter Version, Radio version)

- but the paragraph Typhoon H, displays:
- Gimbal N/A
- Autopilot version: N/A
- Camera : version N/A
- RealSense tm: N/A version

Is the SD card necessary in the camera?

What is the purpose of the micro USB plug located near the SD card slot?

Sometimes at 50 m height, the video return stops, I have to lose altitude to find it.
How to measure the range?

Note: the "screen shot" always works and all the time.
How should the two antennas be arranged? And the mushroom antenna, should it be directed towards the drone, and how?

How come this drone, which has so many qualities, causes so many problems to one or the other, and how come the documentation, except here of course, is so poor?
Thank you all for your answers.

Is the SD card necessary in the camera?
Yes, if you want to take photos or record videos. SD card has to be fast enough for 4K videos, Ultra HC Class 10, U3 (a small 3 in the 'U').

CG03P_820C70 is the SSID of your CGO3+ camera. It will connect via WiFi.

If no FW versions will be displayed, the drone is probably not bound. Check correct binding in Bind menu. See bind procedure in docu.
What is the purpose of the micro USB plug located near the SD card slot?
At the camera? It has no function and is not connected to anything.
At the ST16 it is to connect the ST16 with PC.

The musroom antenna (=5GHz WiFi for video downlink) and also the rod antenna (2.4GHz ZigBee for RC) should never directed to the drone. Maximum radiation is around the antenna.

I don't know what docu you have but it is not so bad. You must read it and follow the recommendations.

Hi Dominique, don't you have a user manual?
Without Micro SD card in the camera, nothing will work, no photos / videos taken, so COMPULSORY !!

32 GB or 64 GB class U3 or V30 Micro SD card, this is the best for 4K image and video with good bitrate.

For the antennas, the two stick antennas must always be slightly inclined and folded back 45 ° to cover as much surface as possible, the GPS antenna in the center must point towards the device to have a superior transmission.

I advise you to download a manual in French (easy to find on the internet) and read it, it will save you from writing this kind of comments. :)

This is not true. I think he has a ST16 with only two external antennas. One rod antenna 2,4GHz, one musroom antenna for 5GHz WiFi. The GPS antenna is always inside and hidden.

If you have two external 2.4GHz rod antennas (the 3-antenna-ST16) then those two should have an angle of 90° to each other. The angle to the cover plays no role. The mushroom antenna should NOT pointed to the drone!

When holding the ST16 to control the aircraft the mushroom antenna should be positioned so it looks like it is growing out of the ground.

In French he speaks well of the two stick antennas and the mushroom antenna, for the position of the antennas and their orientations, the stick antennas are directional, if they are in the alignment of the ST16 the reception will be less good than if they have an angle of 45 °, like the mushroom antenna.

a little memo on the antennas => Conseil orientation antennes sur drone
exact!

If you have the two external antenna ST16 position the antennas as shown here.

Many thanks to h-elsner for his patience and his answers.
I do not believe that the documentation we have in France is sufficient to solve the numerous difficulties of the Typhoon H which suffers, it must be admitted, very often from small incidents (more than its competitors of the same category). The messages from the pilots here testify to this.
But I asked yesterday, how to measure the range? like in aeromodelling? you establish the connection, and you move away with the ST16 until you lose the effect of the signals? The wi fi connections seem very loose, and below what the literature says. Is there a way to increase the transmitting and receiving power?
