Using Kingston micro sd card and different video players ie VLC most of the mp4s cannot play from the sd card. Sometimes they play sometimes they dont. I use different sd cards and tried to reformat etc. What could be causing this ?

Couple of possibilities... Have you tried transferring the files to your computer HD to see if they play from there? Was the video shot in 4K? Have you tried downsizing a copy of the files to 1080p to see if that plays better? If that is the case, you will need to upgrade your computer hardware to smoothly play/edit 4K video.
Actually, I do not know the reason for this issue but for this kind of issue, you need to copy paste the videos from the pendrive and then play it and you can also take help from hp support Canada to resolve this issue.
