Q500 lume cubes. Bad idea?

On the hex series the weight is in the centre. Is it a bad idea to add this set up on the q500 considering the weight is at the front

I wouldn't add those to the front. The imbalance will put more stress on the front motors and ESC's. If I needed them, I would improvise a way to mount them on the legs.

Whoever had the skills to create the camera mount adapter may be able to create a similar adapter at the landing gear. And a visor if needed to keep the glare off the front motors.

I must admit you're braver than me but I always enjoy looking at a q500 anytime.

It was made for the e90/c23 but it fits over the cgo3 , I figured the weight would be a bad idea so didn’t attempt a flight. Great idea with the landing gear, it would make an ideal location to add the lights. Most of my flights are after dark during the winter months so lights are a nice extra, not needed by any means but I like them.
