flying without camera?

It looks like I have the same problem as you have using Windows. The flash process stops before finished. It starts flashing which is indicated by the blue LED but never comes to its end. I have tried it with commandline using only the Espressif esptool just to exclude my GUI for this tool but also esptool itself has the problem.
Looking at their troubleshooting page they simply say:
"Writing to Flash Fails Part Way Through
If flashing fails with random errors part way through, retry with a lower baud rate.
Power stability problems may also cause this (see Insufficient Power.)"

I have added the selection for baud rate and tried it with 57600 baud but also failed. I don't know if it needs it slower. At LINUX Mint it runs with 115200 without problems.
Still searching for a solution for Windows. Maybe we to fall back to an older version of the esptool. But in this case the GUI will not work because it uses now the new commands of the esptool.

The output from flash-id looks good. The FW upload of the bin file should work. But it takes time, you have to be patient.

With my D1 module it takes 23.6sec for Kahuna FW.

I remember that there were sometimes problems with Windows. Since I use LINUX I have no problems. Maybe Windows needs an older version of the Espressive ESPtool, I don't know. I will test when I boot an older notebook with Windows.
The problem solved. It just have some error in Espflasher. Exe in windows and TX RX shoud be flip, and the Monitor can show up
