Hey All,
What is the usb port on the right side of the RealSense Module for?

Hmm it doesn't mention it in the manual? I don't have RealSense.

I think it starts on page 23
Nothing about the USB Port AH-1G. So the mystery continues. I wounder if it's for a future firmware upgrade thru the GUI?

If you mean the real sense module itself, there is no usb port...at least on mine.
if you mean the usb port on the base cover of the body, that is to connect your bird to your computer for upgrade or gui
Correct me if I'm wrong Pat, Steve
CORRECTION....Sorry my bad, I didn't see the little black rubber cover

found it under a flap right hand side just above the drones usb connector ( it is hidden quite well )
dont think there is any chance of updates for the H, shame would be nice to use the realsence for tracking a person better than using the wand that has been discussed in another thread
but also not sure that would be possible with the module we have but if it could be upgraded to a d4** module then the capabilities are there

It might be a diagnostic port or.... a way to update the firmware in the RS module. It's unknown as far as I can tell.

Right. Most likely for setup at the factory for testing and calibration. It's not for use in the field.

Maybe someone can plug it into their computer and see if it registers and then look via File Explorer to see if there are any files etc
i would guess it has its own rom "cache" to store surroundings data

I think it's just the USB port for the RealSense 3D camera output just like you see on the standalone Intel RealSense 3D cameras.

I haven't tried yet, but it may be recognized as a camera. You may need the Intel RealSense drivers to get it to recognize and possible the Intel RealSense 3D camera software to make use of the data from the camera but it might be fun to experiment with and see what the RealSense 3D camera sees.

Here is a link to some of the drivers and software. Just don't try the firmware, it isn't for RealSense on the Typhoon H. Also, be aware that the software requires Windows 8.1 but mostly Windows 10 and there is no gaurantee that it will connect.
