My old brain just forgets stuff like this. I get mixed info trying to find this info. The manuals vagually cover this and the instructional videos ? well I just got mixed up. All my cards are 32gb or less and format to fat 32. If someone could explain the numbers inside the U or the circle I would just be so happy. I aminto re_ learning how to fly these 3 birds,just a little confused. Any and all help is so much appreciated. The number inside U should be 3. Slower SD cards may have problems with 4K video.
I have good experiences with SanDisk Extreme U3. Other do also work. The important value is the write speed. Supplier often advertise read speed and are silent when it comes to write speed.

one down one to go. I do have,and been using a U with 3 inside for my 480. Now I have several cards ,also sandisk as thatt's all I have ever used,they say U with a 1 inside the U andC with a 10 inside,and I have been using them in my cgo2+ in the q500+. My 480 has a cgo3 camera. Thanks h_elsner, giad you answered me,as you are one of the fab5, in my book. Can anyone guess who the other 4 are

Thanks, do have one in 64 gb that I have not used but I may now that I know this. For a fw years I never knewabout formats and never did it.I did read it is best to format the 480 cards in the drone,do you agree?Also can you think of any reason why sometimes I have been editing and deleting and one or 2 of my cards have duplicate pictures,every picture.??can't remember if it was the h480 or the q500's as I have 2 of them. We will get into that later. I am back into my drones,just have time for the Yuneecs,as they are the most awesome to fly. Oh those fantastic big birds. I have not formatted my cards inside the camera. I delete the garbage software that is sometimes present on a new card using my Win10 laptop.

I copy photos and video to my laptop then erase them from the SD card after backing them up on external storage.

My cards are all 64GB and 128GB so they are formatted in exFAT.

I do have a couple 16GB cards that are formatted in FAT32 that are used for file transfer on the ST16 or doing firmware updates on cameras/aircraft.
