Can anyone tell me where I might get extra "locating pins"on the ST16 sunshade?
They seem very fragile.
Has anyone utilised alternate attachments?
Any suggestions?
Cheers

They're actually not as fragile as they look - very bendy and flexible, and surprisingly hard to snap off - I've had mine on and off that controller over 150 times now and each one is still perfect. Once you nail that subtle bend you do to locate the pins and if you always remember to not do it in a hurry, then I'd say there is very little chance you'll break those. Which is just as well, because on mine they are an integrated part of the sun shade, so if they did break I'd be buying another one !

Mine are a tight push fit and live in a nicely molded hole about 3mm diameter
Somehow or other I misplaced one out at the field, so looking for substitute!!
When I attached the shade at the field the pin may have dislodged from the shade
Just going through the wasteland of my garage toolbox and found a selection of split pins.
One size seems to fit the small hole perfectly, just spread the pin slightly after insertion.
Fiddly I know but it might work ok
We shall see

If you can find the right size, a rivet or a pop rivet may work. Be careful to not expand it to the point of cracking the shield. Guess it could also be epoxied in the hole if it was loose.
