I bought q500 4k about eight months ago is there any way to fly with waypoints. Also how do I update radio software.

If you have a 4K, the firmware is surely all up to date. The Q500 was designed as a consumer photo and video platform. Waypoints are simply not possible with the limited storage and the processor.
