I have devastating news for the Yuneec community. John Mitchell has passed away very suddenly. His helper is trying to deal with sorting out all of the outstanding orders and repairs. Currently she does not have access to John's computers so it will take some time to work all of this out.

I received an email message from Carol under the Yuneec Skins email address today. She stated that John had been ill and had passed away. She indicated that she had found a camera I had sent in for repair evaluation. She asked me to send particulars about the camera to see if it could be repaired. She also asked for my patience as she has a large backlog of items to get through. I gave her the information and told her not to worry about the time factor. I was surprised to get any type type of message from Yuneec Skins after having read the news about John. It appears they will try to make things right for it's customers.
 
I did a fair amount of business with John. He was always upbeat and positive,I was always very pleased with him and his work. My condolences to his family and associates. He will be sadly missed by all. Peace be with you. KC

Steve - I talked with you today and you need mentioned you new landing gear which I will look at your Drone tonight and see if I can add a little something and get you your landing gear parts and drone in the mail tomorrow. You should receive a confirmation tonight - as I do not get off work until about 9PM .
 
Does anyone know the difference between the white and black balance charger for a Q500?
Customer has a black drone. all the amps read the same - fuse is the same and middle contact shows hot the same

I'm pretty sure that the charger are the same. I never saw a white charger, it must be very old. But I mixed black an white batteries with no problems. They are the same inside, too.
 
It is quite saddening to read of the passing of John Mitchell. He was a very competent technician and trusted source for information and parts. I emailed him last week about the failures of my 200 QX and 350 QX to initialize and was wondering why he had not replied. He will be greatly missed.
