Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default camera setting from jpg and video to DNG?

JPG / DNG setting will only affect photo type not video. To change the setting you must be in Photo mode.
In Video mode the selection is grayed out... (took me about 2 hours of frustration to figure that out).
