    UAV Toolbox Watch Media Problem

Great, fast work, Tuna! I downloaded 3.2.1 from the main web site and all seems well now. Media and maps sync up fine. Just for reference, I'm in Baton Rouge (GMT-6 for now until DST restarts in the spring). I did not have to check the "Sync to video end" box. CCC is enabled and sees my...

    UAV Toolbox Watch Media Problem

I knew this would be the place to ask, DoomMeister. I'll stay tuned. Still have your IBM 029 Keypunch skills? :) --Doug

    UAV Toolbox Watch Media Problem

Yup. H480s. Same problem on both ST-16s. Also, Curved Cable Cam comes up grayed out on v.3.0.1, but works on v.3.2.0,and v.2.1.2. Thanks for looking, Tuna --Doug

    UAV Toolbox Watch Media Problem

I thought I was going crazy. I updated UAV Toolbox from v.2.1.2 to 3.0.1 on the ST-16 I use most often (I have 2 Typhoon H's). I tried to use the Watch Media function after a recent flight and found that, while the video played, the icon on the map view didn't budge. After I updated to v.3.2.0...

    Curved Cable Cam

No problem. With the pan mode switch in the full up position, the camera will lock in the direction of the nose. In the middle position, you can rotate the camera to point where you'd like, but it will maintain that position relative to the nose when you're not moving the pan control. In the...

    Typhoon H CCC?

Ty, I did look before posting, but I must have missed that part of your comment. I'm glad I'm not the Lone Ranger on the way the joystick works. Misery loves company! --Doug

    Typhoon H CCC?

I love the CCC with right-stick-actuated global pan & tilt. But the one nagging issue is that for actual manned aircraft pilots like me, it's difficult to get the tilt right with the joystick. When we pull back on the stick, we expect the view through the windshield to go higher (toward the...

    ST16 Video Quality

Hi L.P. The video that gets recorded in ST-16 Internal Storage is recorded in an MP4 file with an extremely low bitrate. It's about 1.7 Mbps. That's way too low to handle 720p video from the downlink without frame drops and pixilation. As someone mentioned, it's really only useful for watching...

    Stuck Up, Slammed Down

Too late, Steve. My first flight happened this morning as I said. I waited only long enough to get a healthy number of satellites indicated for both the H and the controller. I've seen that advice given often in the fora and user videos, but never in anything from Yuneec. Might be legitimate...

    Stuck Up, Slammed Down

Got my crashed-and-repaired-in-warranty Typhoon H Pro back from Yuneec's 3rd-party repair facility (Kav in Missouri) yesterday. After checking the ST-16 for any signs of dirty joysticks in Hardware Monitor, I took it out for a very brief test flight (3:45) this morning before the winds kicked...

    Stuck Up, Slammed Down

I had a can of compressed air handy. I gave that a shot, along with vigorous joystick exercise. That seemed to temporarily restore correct centering and full output. But the problem would reappear when the ST-16 was tipped or jostled. Might be a loose connector. In any case, Yuneec has...

    Stuck Up, Slammed Down

Another update: I received a new Typhoon H Pro yesterday from B & H Photo in exchange for the one with the inoperative pan & tilt functions for the camera. I call the one I got yesterday "Typhoon H #3" and the one it replaced "Typhoon H #2." Like #2, #3 arrived with a gimbal damper popped out...

    Stuck Up, Slammed Down

Update on Typhoon H Pro #2 with the bad pan & tilt functions. I talked to Yuneec CS yesterday morning after getting a place in the 54-minute phone queue and having them call me back. The tech walked me through a new model creation and bind to no avail. He quickly concluded the problem was indeed...

    Stuck Up, Slammed Down

Looked like a factory-sealed box. I had already checked the hardware monitor for proper operation of the pan and tilt controls and switches. The fact that they made the tilt work on the crash-damage camera tells me the problem is likely the gimbal on the new camera, not the controller.
