On second thought, just noted that ordering the board from B&H may not be the way to go. Seems that it does not have the proper firmware installed on it in order for the gimbal function to work. Do you know if it is possible to update the firmware through the GUI? Thanks!

By the way, so pins 2 and 3 are power supply. I assume that pin 4 is data. Or is there also a wireless link between the Q500 and the CG03?

No kidding! The little chime itself is not necessarily so annoying, but it blasts at 735,838 decibels no matter how low you have the volume set! Would be nice if that could be turned off.

I feel your pain. The CG03 seems to be incredibly delicate. Mine just totally stopped working entirely for no apparent reason. Back in the glory days when it was actually still working, I had a similar problem as you for a short while. I deduced it down to RF interference. It's a long shot, but...
