E90 Lens Distortion - Who has the problem and when did you buy your E90 camera?

Lol. Good Thread start. I have the issue too. And although it may not be the same on the E90, but back on the CGO3+ there was a clear difference in the lenses used by Yuneec. And it was easily identified just by looking at the front of the lens. Here are some pics of my lens and sample...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Well there is a group of us and we are all complaining about the same issue so it can't be a coincidence. There is no True or False Issue. It has been confirmed. Yuneec themselves have admitted already that the distortion is still there and they are working on a fix AGAIN. As for Tuna, he...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Other people are experiencing it. ALL of us in the UK are having this issue. I see it in the Facebook groups too. Yet. Some are happy to live with it. It's a joke. For a £1249 camera I expect better.

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Go out and test again taking pictures. Not video screenshots. And check. Video is cropped and and had some distortion correction and is cropped along the centre of the sensor. Showing less distortion here in the left. It goes left. What you seen was a pre cropped image.

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Correct Ontheropes. This is a lens issue, doesn't matter about what settings ot any of that nonsense, the distortion is there. Any object in any of the corners and leaning edges will have the distortion. Anything from the centre out has it. Although not as noticeable because it is...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Look. I cannot share the original pics. And had to edit and remove part of the pic. Its a rough edit. The top is the Mavic and is straight. The lower is the E90. Same height. Same location. Sorry I cannot put up the original pics. Camera is level in both, you should be able to see it...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Guys. I know what distortion looks like. As I said. I had to remove the main pictures due to NDA. Its was already agreed with another member. The distortion is there. I cannot re post my original pics. Both pics were taken at the same height at a job I was at. The leaning tower of Turbine...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

There are at least 10 of us all have the exact same issue. So I don't know how this is camera related, although. We were the very first batch in the UK.

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

We did, comments and posts got deleted on the Yuneec APV, UK and EU pages, anyone who tried to talk about it in the 520 EU Facebook group got blocked and banned, I have emailed Yuneec too on a few occasions. We are trying. Others have told Yuneec, seems they want to brush it under the...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Guys. Sorry. Due to NDA, I panicked and deleted my previous posts, although they are now in cyber space. anyway. Here is screenshots with no data of a wind turbine that is up on the hill to the right of the picture. Some of you may have already seen it. But these screenshots hold no...

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Well. Lol. We already got less than we were Told/Sold. What difference does it really make now? Unless Yuneec upgrade the lens or apply some software fix to straighten the images, this "professional" product will always remain sub par. We have to straighten and crop images anyway.

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Yeah, if it was a square sensor you would see the same distortion on vertical and horizontal. Only because the vertical is shorter it's not as prevalent.

    Update 1.3 - 1 March 2018

Thanks, well. At least you can see it. While not to bad there, up closed. Start multiplying it as it takes an image in the distance. All that is required is some on board correction and it will be perfect. Ok. It will crop the image some, but for the end user, when it makes life easier and...
