GE, hiflyer1 here. I found one of the 7500 batteries on the web for 75.. keep looking, they are out there.

is there any appreciable loss in reliability with an aftermarket battery? Can the unit tell if you're not using a Yuneec battery? Sorry for the questions, just bought my G500 4K two days ago.

No problems that I've ever found. A good quality battery is worth the investment in flight time.

I got 35 minutes out of a 7500mAh battery and it charges well. Takes a little longer on the charger but well worth it.
