Another dumb question

Ok the sound is supposed to be on. The volume indicates it's up all the way on the st16 and on the computer. No sound. I really don't plan on using it much because of the noise but how can I do my Jim Morrison imitation without sound accompanied by rotors? Seriously what am I missing?

you have to turn on the "record sound" in the camera settings

You will only get sound from the videos on the SD card. The video stream to the ST-16 does not have sound.

Wouldn't play on the computer either with the sd card. I'll keep trying.

I assume there is no on--off button right?

If you are talking about the H480, the recording of audio needs to be turned on after every power up, using the video settings soft menu.

Just like most of the camera settings, the audio defaults to “off” with each power cycle.
