Trying to decide if I should renew my private pilot license and go that route, or just for for the full blown Part 107. Either way will cost bucks. But then renewing I could get to fly again some.

When you speak with them do not allude to current or previous ops that have any chance of being commercial in any possible manner. You are seeking the location of a testing location and that is all you want to offer up.

I have mine and an appointment with the FSDO for the 30th
Pretty sure there is nothing anyone can do with the certificate number. It is tied to his name and pilots certificate in the FAA data base.
Still not a bad idea to blur stuff like that.
