Are there any alternatives, when it comes to replacing the C23 ribbon cable that comes from the camera? Or, does anyone know where to get one that will fit?
I found one on eBay, but it must be made of gold. He wanted 63 dollars for a ribbon cable!

This is exactly why I am trying to buy all the stock I can, to keep this from happening to others. I am short on wiring, though.

Which ribbon/ribbons were you looking for?

A quick look on eBay did not reveal any ribbons or ribbon sets $63. If you found a source of all three of the commonly damaged/failed ribbons for $63, please list it.

This set ($53) is actually two ribbons. (Rear Main Ribbon and Pitch Encoder ribbon) This set is normally required post-crash when both ribbons are severed at the roll motor joint. (Symptoms are often partial or complete camera issues/update issues/IMU error code/missing telemetry AND likely pitch error code)

This listing ($29) is for only the rear main ribbon, which is all that is required if the rear main ribbon has degenerated to failure state without traumatic damage.
(Random failures such as IMU failure, failure to update gimbal/drone, gimbal buzz, etc. but normally no pitch encoder error)

This listing ($39) is for the front main, which is required if the front main ribbon is damaged at the pitch joint or has degenerated to failure state without trauma.
(same symptoms as rear main only. Damage is often only partial which means it could be either damage or degradation)

I did not currently see any Pitch Ribbons on eBay, but I think they still show up. (symptom is mostly a pitch encoder error that does not resolve by changing out the pitch encoder board and/or magnet)

There are also several other ribbons (cables)(flexible circuit boards) in the C23/E90 cameras. Most are rarely needed but occasionally show up. If you do many repairs you will wind up with plenty of these from salvage. And never use any of them.

I don't use eBay directly to search. I use Picclick to search for items I am trying to buy, but the listing I mentioned was a dead link. Even still, the prices they are asking for these simple ribbon cables is ridiculous. A replacement ribbon cable for a DJI will run around 12 bucks or less, depending on the cable you need.
So, the ribbon cable I need is called the 'pitch ribbon'?

I also searched my favorite seller, but this is all they had, and it's for the E90. Do the E90 and C23 use the same ribbon cables?

Yes, the C23 and E90 use the same ribbons.
But no. You don't need that one. You will never need that one. Probably no one has ever needed that one. That one goes from the roll encoder to the gimbal board. If if gets damaged, there was probably a nuclear attack. (and yes, I know things happen, but the odds are really, really low on this one.)

I am not sure of the name. It connects to the left side of the camera. I am guessing it must come from the wifi board and camera.
You probably need this one. I call it the "Front Main" because it is 100% an extension of the main ribbon and nothing else. Steve Carr calls it the "Spiral Ribbon" because it is wrapped in a spiral around the camera axle when installed. Your guess is as good as either, and you will see many names when you find them. Yuneec apparently did not give it either a name or a part number.

The part number shown on the actual ribbon appears to be from the manufacturer, and sometimes shows up on searches.

I should mention I could be misunderstanding you. The "Front Main" comes from inside the camera ball and connects to the "Main Ribbon" on the left hub.
The "Main" ribbon (left arm hub to rear arm) is:

That seems to be the one.
I have nothing coming from the camera or wifi board right now, so I am sure this is the cable I need.

If you order it, look for any contact information regarding the actual source when the package arrives. The eBay listings I looked at seem to be drop shippers. If you know the actual source, you can sometimes order directly from the source and save whatever amount the drop shipper is charging you. And get it faster.

Has anyone ever tried flashing C23 firmware to the E90 board? I have several C23 camera heads and several E90 gimbals that I'd like to put together, if I can make it work.
