I have three unattached wires in the bracket connecting the gimbal to the drone. The pigtail is connected to the bottom of the drone. I have no camera picture on the controller. Are the three unattached wires supposed to be attached to something? The gimbal is bound to the transmitter and I have up-down movement of the gimbal from the transmitter, just no picture on the screen.

You may have fallen victim to "the three black wires'. Those carry power and PWM from the camera mount to the gimbal board. Power being the key.
If the wires get pulled off, the end that is still attached is still energized, and the broken end becomes an opportunity for disaster. When you slide the camera back on the mount, any wires connected to the top mount are hot from the mount. If you connect the pigtail, any wires still connected to the gimbal board are energized from the gimbal board. If any exposed end touches anything, bad things happen.
If the loss of video happened sometime around the wires getting pulled off, the gimbal board is probably toast and will need to be replaced.
The camera will probably need to be sent for repair to someone that can install and calibrate a replacement gimbal board.

I'm curious if you made certain the camera is bound to the controller. Can you check the Bind menu and see if the camera is listed in the right column?

If the camera tilts (up and down) the gimbal is OK. Is the front LED of the camera on, if yes what color?
Green blinking means waiting on WiFi connection. In this case the WiFi module is OK but the controller is not bound.
If it remains white the WiFi module on the camera may be defect.
