the radar remains fixed from the st16s so it is impossible to make it mobile? to use it as a compass and that the N stands in the true north without turning the radio

Correct - it is impossible to make it mobile or act like a regular compass. It stays fixed with North always at the top, the controller; or take off point (Home) is always in the center and the pointer represents the Typhoons heading and distance from Home and the horizon line represents pitch and roll attitude as you fly.
