yes, said like that, it looks like really a firmware bugThat’s a strange amswer
That;s a new one!I had also contacted yuneec germany and this was their answer
Dear Mr.Loris,
thank you for your email.
This will happen if the landing gear is lift off to early from the start,
the wifi will change into wifi hopping so it have to find another channel to
get connected to the wifi. We would recommend to let the landing gear down
until you reach your point of destiny.
Correct, if you lose the wifi the record gets cut and will be not completed.

That;s a new one!
If I'm reading that correctly, they are saying not to raise the landing gear too quickly to give the system chance to settle on a channel after it begins the WiFi hopping.
I'm aware that the EU firmware incorporates channel hoping which is something that I believe isn't a feature of the American version, so in theory, that would explain a lot...only it doesn't. As far as I'm aware, those pilots who experience this problem have, so far, not found a solution. But I'm open minded. I'll give it a go and delay raising my landing gear...as I'm sure that other pilots who have this problem have already tried...and see how I get on. However, as I said in a previous post, this last couple of weeks I've not had the problem (maybe due to the warm weather in the U.K. at the moment?) so it may be another couple of weeks before I can report.
Perhaps a partial solution is to avoid raising the gear unless and until there is a need to manually pan the gimbal. Raising the gear for general flight does nothing for aerodynamics unless the wind is blowing hard, in which case raised gear adds stability. Swinging the gear helps deplete the battery a little faster, and serves little purpose aside from visual esthetics. So save the gear swing for those times it serves a purpose.
my first real flying and filming with it was a bit off putting first time it happened (omg whats going on i am only 15 feet of the ground why did i just lose the camera)
but will try it up higher and away from me and see what happens. did have a good flight even in dark cloudy weather good test for the camera i am happy with the results still lots to practice before i go out on a real filming trip
