I just got my first vehicle update notice when I powered my station and drone in about 9 months. I have been trying to find out what it's about but can't find anything. Is there any place to check update details that still works?

@[email protected] may have some insight on this.

I know the H520/520e and H850 are supposed to become RID compliant, so this may be an update that has them start broadcasting the required information.

All of the H series could be compliant with just a firmware update as all pertinent data is already contained in the telemetry data.

Does it also apply to h520 bought and flown in Europe?
Get update message every time I switch RC on but have been ignoring it. As long as my current firmware works for me I do not want any changes. I saw too many posts here saying that things went worse after update and asking for instructions how to step back to previous version.

I am also very careful about updates
Not much news on European regulations.
In the meantime, for France, my H 520 is equipped with a tag like this

The H520E and H520E-RTK will also have a software update and require a module added to its radio which will be field upgradeable. In all cases, there will be no charge to upgrade our solutions.”, said Liming Liu Senior Product Manager at Yuneec.

From the article of May 2021!

If it requires a module to be added, what is it and where do we get it?

Do you possibly have English description of how it works?
Where do you mount it on h520? Can you pls. share some puctures?
Understand that the device is powered by internal battery right?

The "dronavia" site has a tab in English but the instructions are only in French.
Operation is simple:
1. the beacon charges like a phone
2. it comes with a "velcro" that sticks to the drone
3. I hang it before each flight and put it in "on" mode
The beacon is delivered with a unique identification number.
I communicated this number to the state services when registering the drone.
