I said it's a God given right to protect yourself. If someone wants to hurt or kill you or your loved ones and you prefer not to do anything that's up to you, but no government should have the right to prohibit you from doing so. I also don't think people from other countries should be taking cheap shots at my country. It's disrespectful and cowardly when you can hide behind anonymity. But I guess that's what you get on the internet.
O.k., Not Sure how this turned into a political debate and an international incident involving Canada and the U.S.A. I guess in an earlier post I compared drone laws to gun laws, not to start a discussion about the 2nd amendment or whether or not god is pro gun. It was more about our right to fly and how if we aren't vigilant, we may lose that right. Does government overreach, yes. But nonetheless we still need some regulations on guns, cars, smog, water and even drones. Will bad people do bad things with the very thing we use for art, sport, pleasure and recreation? Yes, they will, but it's how we react to it that will determine our future flight plans. We need to pay attention to what our law makers are up to. And speak up when they are headed in the wrong direction, that in itself is the basis for a government of the people, by the people and for the people!
That being said, lets try to keep this forum about UAVs, having fun and flying responsibly. And lets also restore the peace between our 2 countries.

If you want debate what UAV laws should be, then you have come to right place. Let's talk about it now! In fact I challenge everyone reading this: If it were up to you what would the UAV laws be? The rules, none at all, the only thing to keep in mind is that currently there are 87000 flights per day in the U.S. about 1/3rd are commercial, by 2020 that # could likely be around 10 million once drones
of all types are integrated. And experts also say the majority of those flights will actually be commercial. So yes we need clear cut laws that allow for everyone to use the airspace, SAFELY.
If you want to debate politics, religion or the constitution, I'll be happy to accommodate anyone, just not here.
P.S., for the record, I am a godless heathen who happens to believe: I got nothing from any god. The 2nd amendment was created by very wise men, The USA was not given to us by god, rather, the Brits actually took it from the natives(of course later on we took it from them and just kept it) and protecting ourselves is a biologic instinct that resides in every form of life on the planet. And while I agree with the 2nd amendment, I also think that after 200+ years, it could use some tweaks.
