Here is the setup of my goggles. These are pretty cheap goggles compared with other companies only $149 and the quality of the image is I should say amazing for the price with a 1280 x 720 LCD Display for each eye. As you see from the pictures I use a DJI FPV battery but that can be changed with any custom one.
I modified the goggles and I put a down converter inside to be able to use any voltage battery. The goggles work with only 5V no more no less. Also, I modify the HDMI connector to use any cable length and not to be tight to the factory bulking cable which has a USB and HDMI cable combined and was really bulky and the length was 6 feet.
This setup works with any device that has an HDMI output. In my case, I have an Nvidia K1 Tablet. You can see from the pictures I hook them to an ST16/S controller without any other device because the controller has an HDMI out port. You can use this as well with DJI Phantom 3/4 which has the HDMI out port.
These goggles can be used with any phone who has the capability to output video via USB type C but you need an adapter to convert that signal to HDMI. These goggles are not meant to watch 3D movies because each screen is mirrored and not independent from each other.
All I can say so far I am very pleased with them and this is why I want to share with the community my setup.
Let me know if you have any questions
I forgot to mention they will work perfectly with any PC with HDMI out. I use them with flight simulators. The best flight simulator I use is Liftoff is the closest to the real deal.
