My personal setups are as follows, without going into detail, & mind you, mine are all set up on my home PC ( HP-Win-10), but are definetly my go to apps..

1). IrfanView: strictly for photo editing (free)

2). VLC: strictly for video viewing and editing (free)

3). VideoPad Video Editor: strictly for video production (free, but spend the extra few bucks and upgrade, you'll be glad you did)
