Is there a way to get my files you know pics and vids from my sd card without having to eject it every time from my cam?

You can download files via 5GHz WLAN but this is slow, really slow. Connect the WLAN of the cam to your device (laptop/PC).
Files are now at 192.168.42.1/100MEDIA/
To increase the download speed you can set it to a higher value:
192.168.42.1/cgi-bin/cgi?CMD=SET_WIFI_SPEED&speed_rate=9
This inceases the speed from 6Mbit/s to 54Mbit/s. But this is also slow for such large files. It is OK for jpg stills.

I'm not sure what the issue is with removing the SD card and transferring the files to your computer via a card reader. It's a simple procedure and if you have a sufficiently sized card only needed to do daily.
