H520 video feed dropping out

I am getting intermittent loss of connection to the E90 camera. Usually at distance, but not always. Last time out I swapped E90 cameras, sd cards and switched from patch antenna to mushroom. Still got the problem so is the ST16s the common fault here, and what might be failing? Pictures attached are screenshots from my AirData account, showing tracks of two consecutive flights, one is ok, the other shows loss of signal.
I have read on this forum that E90 cameras circuitry can degrade over time and both of my cameras have been well used. Could they both have the same problem of ageing?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This can have various causes:
- Mushroom antenna on the E90
- WiFi module in the E90 or in the ST-16S
-Antenna connections in the ST-16S

I would proceed by process of elimination:
- Borrow an E90 that is not so busy (less usage) and test it
-Use a different ST-16S remote control.

You should get a better signal with the square patch antenna. But it must be pointed directly at the H520.
