help needed on gps and stuff on the st16

right heres the issue my dad bought the typhoon h i had a shot loved it his had the avoidence sensor had the altitude set thing return home mode and that

now i bought one with out the avoidence sensor and i set up up lile i was showen no altudude set on screen when i put the switch to home nothing happens drone just hovers in place have i done nothing wrong

also gps takes ages to find then loses it and refuses to start on the red botton

do i have outdated software is is a new thibg
