Crashed Typhoon H landing gear arms shown.
Are the tips of the part that goes into the H's body broken or are they supposed to be staggered ?

You will need to replace both retract units as they are toast. I just checked and on Amazon they're like 34 bucks each.

I found this part and I thought the gold pin could be removed and still use this part that attaches to the leg barrel,

but can not find just the actuator alone. guess I have to get the whole assembly.

FYI...I am leaning on getting the Autel EVO with the insurance money and then getting pieces to see what it would cost to rebuild my H vs getting a refurbished bind and fly.

I may be wrong but I believe just the yoke is only available in Europe, I seem to remember a thread where this was discussed. But yeah if only the yoke has damage you might be okay. Sounds like you've got a good plan there, I think you can rebuild the H, I know a lot of guys have done it and it's not too expensive if you do it yourself. Good luck.

Where did you find this part? If this part is good on both of yours I can sell the rest of the unit for $15.00 ea. plus shipping.

The part number for the yoke (my name for it) is below. The number is YUNTYH131 and is now available on Yuneec website.
There are lots of parts inside an H. The two most important parts are shown at the far end of the counter.

That's not the part that is broken. You will need the complete acuator assembly.

Based on personal experience, if you have hit hard enough to break the actuator casing then it is pretty much guaranteed that the either the hole for the pin or the actual yolk are now oversize and will have a lot of play. As a result the play can cause the landing gear to end up in frame even the with gear retracted. Landing with gear down can be problematic as aircraft moves around on the actuators when on the ground meaning the autopilot won't throttle down to idle. I would suggest that replacing the actuators is the safest path to go down.

Right now I am trying to get a list of what I need to replace the broken parts and how much it is going to cost.
I can rebuild anything mechanical, but my short comings are the electronics.
I wouldn't know how to test the compass and other electronical components except by trail and error.
Since no one can tell me WHY the crafts GPS Turned off, it would always be in the back of my head that it could happen again.
For me that would be a safety concern issue and my not be worth the rebuild effort. Except to prove to myself that I can do it.
Realistically it doesn't make too much sense to rebuild the H. The most expensive part I need is the camera for $450-$500. I can get a complete Bind and Fly H with camera for $650 with a one year warranty, so for $150 more
I get a reliable craft and piece of mind.

Have you contacted Yuneec about your crash. If the compass or GPS failed in flight the telemetry will show it. Yuneec seem to be pretty good at replacing aircraft when there has been a genuine system failure. Worth a try.

Yes, I did call and speak at length with two Yuneec specialists, and after looking at the flight logs, they could not tell me why the H's GPS Turned off. They did say that in this case, Yuneec would replace the my drone. Unfortunately I purchased the H in 2016 and was well out of warranty. I even offered to send the remains to then to see if they wanted to find the cause of the GPS Issue, but they said they would only do so i I was the have it repaired.
