Mantis Q charger

I understand about the newer drone laws. Too many bad apples have spoiled the hobby for the responsible pilots.

If you have fully charged the batteries you do need to get them to storage level soon to keep from damaging them by storing at too high a voltage level.

Hope your visit to Greece is a safe and pleasant one.

Thank you, Greece is amazing. And a very popular holiday destination. There are more than 3000 Islands, so enough to chose from….
(Hahahahahaha).
Thousands of flights go to the Greek Islands from all over Europe. And the Greek are more friendly then the Italians or Spanish, not even mentioning the French.

The Greek aren’t too strict either with rules and regulations, but can get very touchy about millitairy sites, airports etc.
Never take a picture of your holiday airplane when disembarking. Especially if its a joint civilian/millitary field. The closer you get to Turkey, the more touchy they get. (They have a life long feud with the Turks.)
So, using a drone in Greece without proper paperwork might be tricky….
So I’m not going to risk it.

But, to be honest, here in Holland it’s the same.
I’m close to Rotterdam airport, and police often patrol when a drone is sighted.

I’ll fly the drone untill the batteries reach 30%.
Thanks again for your help.

Hello,

I hadn’t touched my Mantis Q for a long time, as the last time I used it, I thought the batteries were defective. The green lights on the charger were flickering, and the charger was making beeping sounds.
The store told me the batteries were often the issue.

So I thought the batteries were dead, and never considered the charger.

So I recently bought new batteries, and was happy to use the Mantis again.

But much to my dismay, the beeping and flashing were still present, even with the new batteries.

I’ve read in a few posts that the charger could also be defective.

Does anybody have any tricks ?
Can the charger be reset or similar ?
Or do I need to buy a new charger ?

It’s a block of 3 slots.
And everything is flashing at the same time…..

Help please!

Mike had already bought a new charging block from a business in NL, but the power supply was not Yuneec OEM and is under powered. Another stronger power supply solved the issue.

I just had a project where I 3d printed housing and soldered together a connector for a custom battery almost like the typhoon H battery mod. This uses velcro to keep it in place.

I am posting a thread this week about some new products coming to our store and would like to hear everyone’s feedback. I didn’t know everyone was still actively interested in these units

It's not that difficult if you know how to solder. The problem is finding the right contacts for the battery. I built my own using spring contacts, but it's better to use a contact rail from the charger or the entire mechanical assembly. Remove all connections to the internal electronics and use only the contacts. You will need banana plugs and 3S balancer cables. The assembly is then simple.
Thank you for the Pin-out!
