Manual Mode Setting Help

I want to learn how to fly with FULL control of my craft. How does one enter manual mode in real life & on the simulator? The winters here in New England are long & cold, so it's the perfect time to strengthen my skills.

Switch off the GPS to enter manual mode. The Q500 is faster then, up to 20m/s. You have to hold altitude by yourself if you go fast.
Works on sim too.

& on the simulator?

When using the simulator you may find the GPS will not turn off on the first couple of tries. And after it does turn off you will likely have to restart the program to get the GPS back on.
