Near Miss with TH Pro

Exactly what you should be doing. Eyes on the aircraft and only glance at the screen to line up shots and video. When you are looking at the screen then it can be argued that you don't have VLOS!
If you are not flying directly away or towards you, the drone has a better view of what's directly in front of it than you do on the ground. That's how I got into trouble. TH was flying from my right to left. From my point of view, there was room between it and the tree. If I had checked the screen, I would have seen that the tree was dead ahead! We've all seen how our depth perception can be tricked when the TH is in the sky.

Moral of the story: If there's any question about the position of the drone relative to other objects, check the screen before moving!

Be in a position in relative to the drone to be absolutely sure you can clear objects, especially while moving perpendicular.
Screen is not the most reliable method, fly above objects is most advantages.
