OTG cable on ST16

Is it possible to use a OTG USB cable so i can make a backup copy of my models on the SD card inside the ST16.
Also it will be easy to copy for example the latest firmware file(s) to the SD card form a external USB source.
On my ST16 i have problems in removing and putting the SD card back into the SD card reader.

You can update firmwares from your PC to 16 and craft with no sd card needed!. no sure what you mean by "models"?
