I hope to be flying with my H480 soon after some repairs are complete. I am a beginner but learning fast. Is it possible to make money flying drones, taking footage for others? Real Estate brokers, movie producers, site planners, etc. Has anyone had sucess with this?

The h480 doesn’t have a c rating so it has a lot of restrictions on how far you can fly from people and buildings. Even if you hold a higher level license the hex won’t meet the standards needed to match ur higher license. That is the way it is here at least in Europe. U can get a c rating for a h520 but it’s not there from factory, it needs certain upgrades that can be performed by qualified individuals, @Enrico Jorysch will know more, perhaps @MobileTechSpecialists can do it in the states . Hopefully that helps

It is possible to earn money taking video with the H480, but you will need to get the §107 certification first.

You will also have to be proficient in editing your footage into professional level video.

Lastly getting work in Florida for any government contracts will be impossible using the H480 due to Florida’s “Blue Drone” regulations.

A small but important correction...
The H520 cannot be C2-certified... only the H520E!

A yes my mistake. I recently seen one on eBay in Germany, a h520e with the c cert, it might have very likely passed ur hands at one time. I’m not aware of anywhere else in Europe that offers the c rating certificate
