OK I know I hear about puffy batteries all the time and not being safe to use. Does anyone know why the batteries get puffy and what can be done to prevent it from happening?

At the top right is an icon that looks like a magnifying glass. It is the search function for the forum and there is a plethora of information on the site pertaining to LiPo’s and their care.

If nothing else, google “why LiPo batteries swell”. Short of it... chemical reaction beyond normal expectations, dependent on several factors.
